When you're doing some computer programming in one of the MS Office products, you'll be using VBA and you might need to connect to a database. This course will explain the simple aspects when it comes to getting some data in or out of a database and then we progress into some more advanced elements.
The course is not designed for a total computer nerdy, geeky type of person. It is for someone who is learning to programme in VBA.
You might be an accountant, a data analyst or even a project manager who wants to automate part of their working environment. At some point you'll need your to get data in or out of a database from the MS Excel, MS Word or MS Access system.
This course is relevant to all the different products in the MS Office suit, they all mostly work the same when it comes down to the VBA accessing a database.
What are the requirements?
Student will need to know how to open the VBA window on their copy of any MS Office product.
Students will need to have a copy of MS Office on their computer (but not Office 365).
Students will need to have access to a database backend, it could be either MS Access, MySQL, PostGreSQL, Oracle or MS SQL.
